Café Toranj: Reviews & Ratings
I had a great experience at this Persian restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. I ordered Fesenjan and Ash Reshteh and it was cooked perfectly and flavorful. Everything tasted homemade and fresh. Definitely reminded me of authentic Iranian home cooking. Highly recommend if you’re craving comforting Persian food in a cozy setting.
Very nice staff. Cozy atmosphere. We ate the number 2. It was delicious! I would definitely go back! Tea was amazing! The sausage omelette was not what i had expected. I wouldn’t recommend the omelette.
This has to be one of my top 3 cafes in Montreal!! The service, the ambiance, the culture, it’s just amazing. I’m here once a month at the least, so I highly recommend. The nashtei is my top pick, my friend said « this meal changes lives »
I recently visited Cafe Toranj with a friend and I had such a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, I felt like royalty! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy vibe that made it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and more! I truly felt catered to! The food was absolutely delicious, and the Zéphyr dish was a standout! Full of vibrant flavors, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced! It was a true delight! Every bite was a treat, and I could tell the dish was made with care and attention to detail. The coffee was also fantastic, rounding off the experience beautifully. If you want to feel pampered while enjoying amazing food, I highly recommend Cafe Toranj. I can’t wait to return for more of their incredible dishes! Thank you for such an amazing experience!
Tasty Persian food and generous portions. I enjoyed the lentils soup and the beef and eggplant stew served with saffron rice. I do wish they had some sort of appetizers so that we can sample more dishes and flavors. Seems like all the portions are fairly large. Service was quick, decor is cute.
We visited this Iranian brunch spot and had a great experience. The place was cozy and welcoming, and the food was fresh and well-prepared. We tried two dishes: Nashtaei 2 - A mix of potato pudding (Do Piazeh), lentil soup, a Persian-style omelette, and pinto beans, served with tea or coffee. Everything was flavorful and comforting. Nashtaei 3 - A savory plate with sausage and tomato mixture (Bandari), boiled eggs, potato pudding (Do Piazeh), and pinto beans, also paired with tea or coffee. The service was friendly and excellent, and the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere and cozy ambience. One thing we missed was the saffron ice cream, but we'll definitely be back to try it. If you enjoy good food with rich flavors, this place is worth a visit! Highly recommended.
Not my type of food. Interesting flavour, definitely different, but that doesn’t means good. The cake actually it was super dry.
What a great discovery! We stopped by in a rush in the morning. It was 9h30, and they were not even open, but the guy let us in and served us coffee. I had the almond/pistacchio latte, and it was one of the best lattes I've had in a while! We went back later after our appointment for ́lunch. The food was simply amazing, tasted delicious, a generous portion, well made, tasted like homemade food but very well presented. My mom had a colorful rice and lamb, and I had the celery/mint lamb. Both were delicious. The desserts were also very good. The service was great, and the server was very friendly. I highly recommend the place for coffee and lunch.
